Milford Communications replaces coax network with fiber optic technology throughout the town of Milford, IA
Milford Communications is pleased to announce plans to expand upon its existing fiber footprint by installing a 100% fiber optic network throughout the town of Milford, IA. This investment is part of Milford Communications’ ongoing commitment to provide the community with state-of-the-art communications technology.
Milford Communications plans to replace their current coax network with a dedicated fiber optic network throughout the entire Milford community. Fiber is a future-proof technology and the best method of providing Internet speeds in excess of 1 Gigabit per second, along with crystal-clear voice and digital TV services. Milford Communications is concurrently placing this same technology throughout the surrounding rural area.

This multi-million-dollar investment will allow Milford Communications to offer the latest products and services at the fastest speeds to the entire Milford community. Milford Communications plans to begin construction this summer with the goal of connecting customers to the network as soon as late Fall/Winter 2023. The project is expected to be completed in 2024.
